The Boston Consulting Group: Investment banks show signs of recovery despite difficult market
Investment banks faced a difficult start to 2008, but showed signs of improvement. Revenues of leading banks remained negative in the first quarter, largely due to write-downs. Excluding write-downs, however, first-quarter revenues were actually 18 percent higher than in the previous quarter, according to the report, Investment Banking and Capital Markets, by The Boston Consulting Group.

CSC and Bombardier Transportation sign $1.2 billion IT outsourcing agreement
CSC has renewed its information technology (IT) outsourcing agreement with Bombardier Transportation, an operating group of Bombardier Inc. The new seven-year, $1.2 billion (euro 765 million) contract, which has an incremental value of approximately $944 million (euro 610 million), is an extension and expansion of services that began under a 2002 contract that was valued at $700 million over seven years.
