US business leaders respond to downturn by ramping up internal change
A survey of over 600 senior executives across Europe and the United States, carried out by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), reveals that over half of US business leaders say their planned change programs -- structured approaches to implementing and managing change within a company -- are a direct response to the credit crunch. Accordingly, over a third (37%) of US leaders plan to increase their spending on change initiatives over the next 12 months, while only 16% intend to spend less.

Management consulting remains the No. 1 desired industry for MBAs
For the second year in a row, MBA students chose Google as the No. 1 ideal employer (23.65 percent of respondents), after it trumped powerhouse consulting firm McKinsey & Company's (15.84 percent) 12-year reign as No. 1. Goldman Sachs (14.98 percent) maintains its status at No. 3; Apple (13.68 percent) jumped to No. 4, and The Boston Consulting Group (12.12 percent) came in at No. 5 in the Universum Survey.

Employer use of financial incentives to reward healthy behavior expected to surge
