Small-to-medium businesses (SMBs) are the dark matter of the UK economy -- everybody knows they are out there, but no-one is entirely sure what they are up to. They are also the focus of dark suspicions, assumed to be the last hiding place of practices ranging from the inefficient to the discriminatory and downright dangerous.

Capgemini Q3 revenues up by 11%
As Capgemini reported double-digit growth for the third quarter, it raised its operating margin goal for the year and said that it has won an extension for its outsourcing contract with British tax authorities.
Capgemini said consolidated revenues for the third quarter of 2007 reached €2.088 billion against €1.881 billion for the third quarter of 2006. The company said this represents growth of 11% at current rates and perimeter and 6.2% at constant rates and perimeter.

Ernst & Young annual global revenues rise 15% to US$21.1 billion
