Navigant Consulting charts its global expansion
As we enter what may be a testing time for the consulting industry, I’m noticing subtle changes in the way people speak. They don’t just talk about growth, but “sustainable growth”. This is clearly an issue—the industry has been caught before investing in headcount and infrastructure only to see client demand collapse. Given that not growing is in itself unsustainable for a consultancy in the long term, I’d add to that the requirement for “meaningful” growth. It’s easy to add mass, whether by acquisition or requirement—whether that mass becomes critical, and the whole becomes more than the sum of its parts, is another matter. Full article >>>
